different areas,the size and structure of the Lifang Square,its identity,social grade,etc.also vary,and there are changes in time.This article takes the Taiping,Tongyi,Shanhe and Tonghua four squares south of the imperial city and west of Suzaku Street as an example.Based on existing literature and materials,the residents in the squares are the research objects to actively explore the spatial structure and form of the squares The characteristics and laws of development and change,try our best to present the historical and cultural life of Chang’an City in Sui and Tang Dynasties.In the first chapter,Taiping,Tongyi,Shanhe and Tonghua are located on both sides of Hanguangmen,west of Suzaku Avenue,west of Fanglin-Anhuamen Avenue,north of Imperial City,south of Xinghua,and Fengle Second Square.West City is closer.Geographical location is special.The first row of Shanhe and Tonghuafang to the west of Suzaku Street is 500 meters long from east to west and 558 meters wide from north to south;the second row of Taiping and Tongyifang are 544 meters and 683 meters in length.There is not only a horizontal street(15 meters wide)in the square,but also a cross within the square,8 meters in to the higher social strata,and there is also a gathering phenomenon.Third,comparing the living characteristics of the family members of the northern and southern families,it is found that the southern family members tend to have a stable living environment and pay attention to the cultivation of family culture.The northern families are relatively weak;The third chapter divides the Sui and Tang dynasties into seven stages based on the results of chapter two,and analyzes the space-time distribution characteristics of the courtyards in the Lifang.Among them,the number of courtyard houses in the Sui to the early Tang dynasties was small,relatively empty,and the land utilization rate was not high.During the Xuanzong and Xuanzong periods,the number of homes gradually increased.At the beginning of the Sui Dynasty,the officials of the beginning of the Tang Dynasty were of higher grades,and the size of the house was larger.After Xuanzong,although the number increased,there were also some people with smaller official ranks;The fourth chapter,as a living individual in the city,the living conditions of the people at that time,communication,and the social background and political movements reflected by them all have attractive charms.The article uses three typical cases to illustrate this problem..First,by examining the life of Prince Jiezhen’s concubine,the political and cultural characteristics of Ruizong to Xuanzong were analyzed.Secondly,it reveals the interaction and process between the political power and the space culture on the change of the space cultural attributes of the old house of Tang Taizu Li Yuan Qianlong.Finally,the analysis of the inter-relationship between the Chen clan Yin clan and Langya clan clan in the southern clan reflects the social
