Calculation And Application Of Claims For Extension Of International Project Duration And Related Expenses

In the 1970s,China’s engineering construction enterprises have already gone abroad and participated in international engineering construction.In recent years,with the development of China’s economy and the implementation of China’s "going out" strategy,China’s engineering construction enterprises have actively participated in the competition in the international engineering field,and have occupied a considerable share in the market.Comparing with international large contractors,the management level of China’s engineering construction enterprises still has a large gap,and the projects often have delays and losses.In order to adapt to the increasingly fierce competition in the market,many university researchers and international engineering managers began to study international engineering claims,and the knowledge of international engineering claims was quickly popularized in China.Due to the complexity of international engineering and the many uncertainties,engineering claims often encounter problems in engineering implementation.Especially when the international engineering field is in the buyer’s market,contractors often win the bid through lower prices and want to make profits.Based on this background,this thesis studies the calculation of duration claims and related costs.This thesis is based on the literature analysis method and the case analysis method.Firstly it describes the current status of engineering claims research at home and abroad based on the current situation of the market,then summarizes the theoretical knowledge of international engineering construction claims,and then joint delays in common processing principles On the basis of the problem,the responsibility sharing method is proposed.The system summarizes the calculation method of the main duration claim,and draws the calculation procedure of the duration claim calculation,and propose a plan and actual progress comparison method based on the responsibility sharing method and network analysis,then studies the related expenses calculation caused by the extension of the duration.This thesis finally passes the Nepal Chameriya Water Power Project for the case to verify the research results of this thesis,which has certain operability.I hope that through the research of this thesis,I will provide some reference for the managers of international engineering in China.
