The salary structure is the arrangement of the salary rate between different positions or skills within the same organization.It is the rule to formulate different salary levels for positions with different values in the company based on the company's business strategy,economic capabilities,human resource allocation strategy,and market salary levels,and provide a way to confirm the personal contribution of employees,fairness is the basic requirement of salary designing.The salary structure is an important content of salary system reforming.It is related to the realization of salary fairness and the overall function of salary.Therefore,the primary problem of corporate salary system reforming is how to optimize the internal structure of salary.As an established state-owned enterprise,Transportation Company A is facing market share shrinking and huge challenges under fierce competition.Although Transportation Company A has tried to enter some emerging fields,it does not succeed in new fields or getting competitive advantages in the market.On the one hand,old employees of Transportation Company A generally lack of the awareness of innovation.On the other hand,due to the salary of Transportation Company A is lacking of attractiveness,there are fewer new professional talents,even caused brain drain.In order to stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of employees,Transportation Company A tried to reform the salary system,but the results were unsatisfactory.Based on the above background,this paper takes Transportation Company A as the research object and analyzes the factors that affect salary structure designing,using on-site interviews and questionnaire surveys to discover the problems and the causes of problems on salary structure of Transportation Company A.Then using relevant theories about salary structure designing to optimize the current salary structure of Transportation Company A,exploring the inevitability and optimization path of state-owned enterprise's salary structure optimization,and hoping to provide some reference for other state-owned enterprises which is similar to Transportation Company A.
