The Central Economic Work Conference first proposed the "new infrastructure" in 2018,which is an infrastructure system based on information networks and driven by technological innovation to provide services such as digital transformation,intelligent upgrading,and integration innovation.Due to the introduction of the concept of "digital transformation and intelligent upgrading",the Internet and Internet of Things technologies are rapidly merging with the traditional infrastructure industry.As the earliest company engaged in power design in Guizhou Province,A Power Design Company(hereinafter referred to as "Company A")deployed a new business—geographic information system in advance under the increasing pressure of the local market,which became a new bright spot for the company.In the future,how to adapt to the "new infrastructure" development strategy and seize the development opportunities to achieve the company’s long-term development will be an important subject for company A.Based on the theoretical basis of competitive strategy,this article uses company A as the research object,using PEST analysis,Michael Porter’s five forces model,BCG matrix and SWOT analysis to analyze the development of the company’s major businesses,external macro environment,internal resources and capabilities.After sorting out the company’s internal advantages and disadvantages,and the opportunities and threats of the external environment,the company’s strategic goal is proposed,which is to optimize the three major business structures,comprehensively build energy integration service capabilities,and become a technology-leading engineer company.Deepen the cooperation with the buyers,actively explore the markets,expand the market share,and steadily increase the profit level in order to obtain a lasting competitive advantage.After comparing centralized competition strategy,low-cost competition strategy,and differentiated competition strategy,it is recommended that the company choose a differentiated competition strategy.Under the opportunities such as "new infrastructure" and "Internet +",company A can integrate the technical advantages of geographic information system,survey and design with the EPC,to implement the differentiated strategies.And the differentiated core competence will make it easier to expand the market and achieve sustainable development.Based on the development status of company A,the differentiated competition strategy proposed in this paper can improve the company’s business structure,create new competitive advantages,expand market share,and enhance market position.It is hoped that company A can use this as a reference to integrate superior resources,innovate business strategies,optimize organizational structures,improve human resource management,reshape corporate culture and technological innovation capabilities,and help company continue to develop.
