Baojiaxian belief in Northeast China is a kind of folk belief with Hu,Huang,Chang,Python and other animal immortals as the main body of belief. It is widely distributed in the rural areas of Northeast China.Because some people in Northeast China think that baojiaxian worship can protect the prosperity of the family and the safety and health of family members,it is highly praised by the believers in these areas. The reason for the formation of baojiaxian belief is complex. It combines the theories of Taoism and Buddhism and the rituals of Shaman culture in Northeast China to form a unique belief system. The belief of baojiaxian coincides with the psychology of the local believers and reflects the psychological mechanism of the believers in Northeast China. It subtly shapes the religious psychology of the believers in Northeast China and makes them renew their belief system in the change of times.Based on the case study of mudian Manchu Township in Harbin, this paper explores the composition of baojiaxian belief system, the psychological mechanism of belief groups and the status quo of baojiaxian belief in the northeast rural areas by means of literature review and field investigation. It mainly introduces the composition of baojiaxian belief system, the ritual process of baojiaxian belief, the influence of baojiaxian belief on belief groups, and the heart of believers of baojiaxian belief In the research,we find that there are some problems in the development of baojiaxian belief, such as the disappearance of traditional "skills" and the transformation of "seeing things".
