An Animation Narrative Research On The Elements Of Tujia Folklore

Animation has been a space-time art form with a certain art form carrier.Through over one hundred years of development,it is integrated with other forms of artistic expression,rendering its own aesthetic form very rich.It is not limited to children's wellknown cartoons,but also the film style that adults like to see.The popularity of its audience has brought infinite possibilities for animators to create.In the context of crosscultural communication and cultural industry integration,the world's three animation camps occupy half of the animation market:Disney and Pixar animation,Japanese animation,French experimental animation.Chinese animation,which is developing,is seeking the way to go global:the construction of local culture and the maintenance of ethnic style,so that the animation can be more recognizable,which is an ideal way.China,beyond doubt,is a multi-ethnic country,in the course of their own formation and development,each ethnic group has produced different forms of folk culture.This makes the theme and expression elements of animation story far-reaching and extensive.Tujia,as one of the multi-ethnic groups in China,is located in the deep mountains of Wuling mountains.Before the policy of "bureaucratization of native officers',the system of Tusi was still preserved.In the process of continuous inheritance and evolution,the relatively primitive and unique folk customs are formed and retained,including Tujia material folk and spiritual folk,language folk and social folk,which cover Tujia folk tales and costumes,Tujia folk beliefs,Tujia Dance music,Tujia philosophy and so on.There are many folklore elements with great artistic value,and their artistic laws are similar to animation.For instance,Tujia folk tales and myths have strong fantasy color,significant moral nature and assumptions as well as symbolic factors;simplification and imagery deformation in the graphic symbols of folk costumes are full of order aesthetic feeling.The common "eight hooks" style of Tujia clothing is the imagery deformation of a plant.The symmetrical art form of four pairs of hooks also contains the traditional religious thinking of Tujia:the representation of the consciousness of heaven,earth,God and man,and the anthropomorphic expression of animals in the folk pattern modeling,as well as the exaggeration and funny sense of Tujia Nuo God Mask and many of its shapes are quite weird.The construction of "space" in the performance concerning sacrifice ceremony,etc.These folk characteristics,of course,are full of story implication and narrative elements,but also have the characteristics of imagery,abstraction,surrealism and drawing.These artistic features have defects in the course of visual expression and communication by general artistic forms.Thus in the process of "going out" of typical folk culture,it needs a visual solution suitable for its artistic characteristics.Animation,as a film style,is used as a medium,the attributes of animation noumenon have certain characteristics of assumption,abstraction,exaggeration and deformation,which just fit the characteristics of folk elements in the spread of folk culture.In fact,these folk elements are a kind of symbolized object.In addition to the narrative nature of the elements,there are many symbolic narrative characteristics.Beyond the essential feature of "moving" in animation noumenon,the construction of animation ontology is also based on the transmission of numerous symbols,and also contains the important feature of narrative.Starting from the related theoretical knowledge of narratology,film narratology and animation narrative,this paper is based on the practice of image creation of graduation project.Through the reflection of each link in the practice of animation creation,it completes the refinement and summary of theoretical point of view.The paper,by summarizing the artistic expression form of Tujia folk elements,understands the cultural connotation behind the folk symbols,and summarizes the skills of space and time construction,picture presentation and voice expression in the animation narrative noumenon.Furthermore,it tries to put folklore elements and animation in the same narrative field,and explore the visual expression rules of folklore symbols that fit the animation narrative system.And it conducts the discussion about the function and general expression of folk symbols in the animation narrative,as well as the formula of how animation,as a cultural communication medium,carries the gene of folk culture.Thus understanding the internal structure principle of ethnic cultural elements fusion in animation narrative,in an effort to achieve the optimal spread of Tujia folk culture.The paper is subdivided into five components:the first part includes the definition of related folk custom,the basic classification of Tujia folk custom elements and the analysis of their artistic characteristics.The second part mainly sums up the main body of animation and the related basis,form and structure of animation narrative,thus extending the specific requirements regarding ethnic elements of animation narrative.The third part is about the image creation idea of the plane animation "XILANKAPU".The fourth part analyzes the narrative application of Tujia folk elements in the animation,and makes a longitudinal analysis of the narrative space-time,narrative structure,narrative perspective,animation performance,animation narrative audio-visual system of folk elements in the image design of XILANKAPU.The fifth part is the inspiration for the research into Tujia folk animation narrative.By the process of practice and theoretical analysis,it broadens the transmission path about minority animation and enriches the theory of animation narrative.It has great theoretical and practical significance in the protection and inheritance of Tujia folk custom.
