Shui-Lu Painting is religious figure painting hanging and worshiping in the Taoist rite when holding Shui-Lu rites.The images involve the contents of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,with most forms of frescoes and scroll paintings.This essay takes the Shui-Lu frescoes in the Waist Hall of Qinglong Temple in Jishan County,Shanxi Province as the core.Through field investigation and inquiry of the relevant materials already have possessed,the historical evolution of Qinglong Temple in Shanxi Province,and the content,drawing time,overall layout,composition,theme,image configuration structure,artistic characteristics of each frescoes in the Waist Hall can be reviewed and analyzed.The essay emphasizes the study of the ancient human image of The South Wall,analyzing and interpreting the composition form,image configuration,title notes,image identity and meaning of the ancient human relations image,in order to discuss the causes,background of the ancient human relations image and text basis of entering Shui-Lu painting system.The author believes that the fresco style of The South Wall was influenced by the palace painting academy and other painting schools before the end of Yuan Dynasty.At the same time,the essay combines the images of ancient human relations with Confucianism,in order to analyzes the standards and ideas of Confucianism setting up moral models,as well as Confucianism attention to human relations,which makes up lacking Confucianism contents in the study of Shui-Lu painting;In addition,the author analyzes the costumes in the frescoes of ancient human relations,so as to probe into the relationship between the costumes of ancient human relations images and social life in the frescoes of Waist Hall of Qinglong Temple.Moreover,the author analyzes and contrasts the ancient human relations images in Waist Hall of Qinglong Temple,Fanshi Princess Temple in Shanxi Province and Pilu Temple in Hebei Province.The differences of ancient human relations images in composition,location,culture,content and clothing of these three places can be analyzed,with the discovery that the ancient human relations images in these three regions are all located in The South Wall.The distribution and guidance gods of the ancient human relations images in different regions and periods are various.In the Yuan Dynasty,the images of ancient human relations in Qinglong Temple were located at substratum,and the guidance god was Four Straight Emissary.While in the Princess Temple of Ming Dynasty and Pilu temple,the images of ancient human relations were all located at the upper,middle and lower levels,and the guidance gods were Bodhisattva of Guidance King and Face Ghost King.Ritual Texts of Heaven and Earth,Yin and Yang,Shui-Lu exists the phenomenon of same name,increase,name modification,split,simplification and so on with the ancient human relations image.Although Ritual Texts of Heaven and Earth,Yin and Yang,Shui-Lu is the ritual procedure of three regional Shui-Lu paintings,it appeared the image in The ritual procedure of the Holy Shui-Lu in the Dharma world and the image closer to the name invited by The ritual procedure of the Holy Shui-Lu in the Dharma world.Therefore,three regional Shui-Lu paintings have certain relationship with The ritual procedure of the Holy Shui-Lu in the Dharma world.As for the costumes,the three regions all adopted a large number of the Song Dynasty costumes,and there were a few Ming Dynasty costumes and crown decorations appearing in the Princess Temple and Pilu Temple.Figures of filial son prevails in the frescoes of tombs in Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties.Therefore,the author connects the figures of filial son of tombs in Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties with images of filial son and grandson in ancient times in the frescoes of Waist Hall of Qinglong Temple in Shanxi Province,and discusses the relationship between them.At last,the author will analyze the artistic features of the ShuiLu painting in the Waist Hall of Qinglong Temple,such as the use of pen,line and color.The mural at the waist of the Qinglong Temple is an important material for studying the art of mural observation in the Yuan and Ming dynasties.The source of the image of ancient humanities,the image itself and its costumes are discussed to make up for the lack of the image of ancient human beings.
