The city construction is closely related to the urban development,ecological environment,citizen's life,regional stability,and the political situation.Therefore,the research on the city construction can be instrumental in the law of urban development study and it is beneficial to the study of the urban spatial evolution.The influence by city construction on the environment is also assignable.Starting from the city construction,this thesis talks about the human-environment interaction.The study of city construction in Guizhou in the Ming and Qing Dynasties does favors to many aspects,such as the inheritance of traditional culture,the display of the city,the embodiment of the backgrounds of the times and the social relations maintenance.In the implementation of the western development strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative,the City Walls has become precious heritage that should be well protected.In addition,if Guizhou wants to show it's diversity,it should not only show its good scenery and multivariate ethnic customs,but also exert great efforts to characteristics of the City Walls exhibition.Such conducts can help Guizhou develop tourism with historical spots.The City Walls landscape acts as the most significant architecture in ancient times,it reflects the beauty of Chinese traditional architecture.In the past,the city was thought highly of for harmonious development of man and nature.So the urban ecology can provide theoretical support for today.As for civil engineering,we hope it can be useful to protect and to develop the antique architecture and the material heritage.Based on the above considerations,this research object is the Guizhou cities in Ming and Qing Dynasties.The article sums up experience of the urban development of Guizhou in Ming and Qing Dynasties.It is divided into three parts the introduction,the body in four chapters and the ending.The first chapter introduces the humanistic and geographical backgrounds of Guizhou.General situations of city construction has been presented and analyzed.The paper holds that the city construction in Guizhou in the Ming and Qing Dynasties was influenced by many factors including natural and humanistic causes,and lack of repair for long years.The paper has found that there are three periods when the city construction was done frequently,with the Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty and the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty as the golden age.The second chapter probes into the spatial form and facilities of Guizhou city walls in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Specific research contents include the city gate,the city moat and so on.In general,the city walls in Guizhou give priority to small,medium and irregular forms which involved largely to the natural environment and the economic development level of Guizhou.Chapter three talks about the essential factors in city construction,and puts specific analysis of questions of it.For instance,the preparatory activities of civil engineering,the supervisors selection,the origin of building materials,the funding sources,the sources of workers and the building technology are all been included.The relations between them are also clarified.The last chapter studies the influence of the ctiy construction of Guizhou in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.There are many aspects of the impact.The acquisition of raw materials for civil engineering has accelerated rocky desertification of the ecological environment.The urban ecological environment and the landscape of the city has changed.At the time of disaster,work relief and the city building have been organically combined,it is favourable to improving people's livelihood.Large amount of capital flowed into the market through the purchase of building materials and the payment to workers' for buliding the city.This way is also helpful to the regional agricultural production and the commodity circulation.
