Degree adverbs are a type of adverbs in contemporary Chinese language that are used very frequently and are very fallible.Whether it is daily oral communication or written communication,when people want to express or describe the modality,quantity or nature of objective things,they can use degree adverbs to explain the corresponding magnitude.Foreign students who want to learn and master authentic Chinese and improve their communicative competence will necessarily use degree adverbs,so they naturally need to grasp the meaning and usage of degree adverbs comprehensively and meticulously to make their Chinese expressions better.However,due to the complexity of degree adverbs and other problems in teaching Chinese as a second language,foreign students will inevitably encounter some difficulties in learning degree adverbs,which will cause errors that affect communication.Therefore,we need to systematically sort out the degree adverbs in contemporary Chinese so that relevant researchers,teachers and learners can be inspired and make progress.This paper selects all 38 degree adverbs in the New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus as the object of study.Based on the statistics of related error corpora in the HSK dynamic composition corpus,this paper describes and analyzes the error state of the degree adverbs.The types of errors are categorized,the causes of various errors are explored,and finally,specific and practical suggestions are put forward.The introduction of the paper is the first part,which is divided into four sections.The first section discusses the reasons for choosing this topic and the significance of the study.The reasons are as follows:degree adverbs have high use frequency and are easy to make errors;HSK dynamic composition corpus has comprehensive data on the use of written language by foreign students,so the analysis results will be scientific;The New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus fits the learning reality of Chinese learners and is very useful for reference.Studying this topic can enable relevant researchers,teachers,and students to have a comprehensive understanding of the condition of error of degree adverbs,and help improve students' communicative competence.The second section expounds the research status of degree adverbs,including two parts:the ontology study of degree adverbs and the error study of degree adverbs in teaching Chinese as a second language.From the perspective of commonality and personality,the ontology research explores the nature,scope and classification,grammar and function of degree adverbs,case analysis and comparative analysis,and comprehensively summarizes the study of degree adverbs.The third section describes the establishment of the research object,namely,the 38 degree adverbs in the New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus.The fourth section explains the methods and ideas adopted in this study,including literature research,quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis.Then comes the main body of the paper.The first three chapters are divided into upper,middle,and lower parts.A comprehensive and detailed analysis of the errors of all 38 degree adverbs in the New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus is conducted.The 38 degree adverbs are divided into six levels according to the HSK class,and a brief introduction to the semantic,grammatical,and pragmatic aspects of each degree adverb is made,and the related phenomena are described and analyzed according to the examples of mistakes in the HSK dynamic composition corpus.The fourth chapter summarizes and analyzes the error phenomenon of degree adverbs in the New Chinese Profciency Test Syllabus according to the statistics and analysis mentioned above,and finds the rules about the frequency of use,the error rate,and the types of errors.Chapter 5 analyzes the various causes of the error phenomenon,including the negative transfer of mother tongue,the negative transfer of the target language knowledge,the teacher's insufficient teaching,and the complexity of the degree adverbs.Finally,the author puts forward suggestions on how to efficiently teach degree adverbs to foreign students,which are divided into comprehensive and systematic lesson preparation,teaching with layered and emphasis,emphasis on the teaching of discrimination of words,and arouse students'interest in learning.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the research ideas and related conclusions of the full text,analyzes the shortcomings of this paper,puts forward the next research plan,and.elaborates the prospect of future related research.
