Nikolai Kalorlovich Medtner is a composer with a lot of musical philosophy.His compositions not only the spirit of classicism,but also the character of romanticism.The sonata“Reminiscenza”is the first of his suite“Forgotten Melodies”and one of his representative sonatas.This dissertation is divided into four parts:the first part introduces Medtner's life and his evaluation;the second part sums up his creative characteristics by analyzing his music creation;the third part analyzes the Form and Works analysis of the sonata;the forth part expouds the performance of the whole work in detail.
