A Study Of The Words And Phrases In The "Kui Ru Pu"

The words concerning Cuju related to Cuju game,including Cuju player,Cuju facilities,Cuju brand,Cuju argot,etc.The meanings of these words are integrated and their structures are relatively solidified.There are few materials reflecting the Cuju activity.Cu Ju Pu,which was written in Ming dynasty,and was found in 1940 s,is a rich literature of Cuju words.This thesis takes the Cuju words in the literature as the research object,from the perspective of lexicology,to summarize the characteristics of Cuju words as industry words.In this thesis,751 Cuju words are extracted from Cu Ju Pu,which can be divided into10 categories according to their meaning.These 10 kinds of Cuju words are analyzed from four aspects.Firstly,explain the meaning of Cuju words.The purpose is to understand the unique things and phenomena in Cuju.Cuju words are mostly monosyllabic words,but few polysemous words.There are 37 polysemous Cuju words,between their respective meanings,some of which are closely related and some of which are difficult to connect.Secondly,describe the structure of Cuju words.The structure of Cuju words are mainly of compound structure,including juxtaposition,modifier-core,verb-object,verb-complement and subject-predicate.Among them,the modifier-core structure can express the content of words more clearly due to the existence of modified-restricted components,The structure accounts is the most,499 in total.Thirdly,explore the origin of Cuju words.The sources of Cuju words can be analyzed into two types: borrowing existing words and creating new words,which account for 24.8% and 75.2% of the total number of Cuju words respectively.The borrowing words mainly from common words,accounting for about 19.3%.The created words mainly reflect the tricks of Cuju,accounting for about 50.7%.Finally,analyse the collecting of Cuju words,which are seleted from Cu Ju Pu,in the Chinese Dictionary.There are about 79.2% of Cuju words in Cu Ju Pu are not included in the Chinese Dictionary.There are some problems in the interpretation of Cuju words which are included in the Chinese Dictionary.The corpus of Cuju words in Cu Ju Pu can be revised and supplemented the Chinese Dictionary.
