Wang Fuzhi's Thought Research On Laoziyan

Wang fuzhi wrote many books,and Laozi Yan was the first philosophical work in Wang fuzhi's academic career.As a Confucian,Wang fuzhi chose the study of Taoist classics as the beginning of his works.Although Wang fuzhi wrote a large number of works later,the significance and value of Laozi Yan in many of his works is still different.From Laozi Yan,we can see Wang fuzhi's criticism and approval of Laozi's thought.Wang fuzhi exposed the shortcomings of Laozi's thought through the discussion of the text of Laozi.The ultimate purpose of Wang fuzhi was not to criticize Laozi and Taoism,but to correct the last stream of Wang yangming's thought and bring the development of his thought back to the practical level.This paper mainly refers to the related works of Wang fuzhi and the related dissertations of predecessors.It is expected to reveal Wang fuzhi's thoughts by understanding and interpreting the moral content of Laozi Yan.The main body of the paper includes the following parts:"Preface" mainly explains the origin and research value of the paper,the research scope and methods,as well as the review of previous research results.The first chapter is "the writing background and method of Laozi Yan".Through the introduction of Wang fuzhi's life and the background of The Times,this paper interprets the writing method of Laozi Yan and reflects the writing characteristics of Wang fuzhi.The second chapter is "Tao theory in Laozi Yan ".This paper discusses Wang fuzhi's thoughts on the "being and nothing","motion and stillness","tao and instrument" in Laozi,and makes an in-depth study of Wang fuzhi's criticism and approval of Laozi's tao theory.The third chapter is "political theory in Laozi Yan".This paper discusses Wang fuzhi's thoughts on the political theory of "How to be a good king","the road of ruling a nation" and "the way of using military force" in lao-tzu,in order to find out the similarities and differences in their views on political theory.The fourth chapter is "life theory in Laozi Yan ".To study how Wang fuzhi thought and understood lao-tzu's philosophy of life,how Wang fuzhi understood lao-tzu's "natural inaction",how he understood "reduce selfishness and desires",and how he regarded lao-tzu's "worship of weakness and value of softness".By interpreting the text of Wang fuzhi's Laozi Yan and comparing it with Laozi's thoughts,the difference between Confucianism and Taoism can be more clearly presented.Finally,the above research results are sorted out to express the context of the whole paper,and the differences between Wang fuzhi's thoughts and Laozi's thoughts are emphasized again.This paper points out the shortcomings and deficiencies of the author in the research,and hopes that the later research scholars can point out the shortcomings.
