This thesis is an English to Chinese consecutive interpreting report of the Yale University open lecture on “Autism and Related Diseases”.By way of post-interpreting reflection and self-evaluation,this report summarizes the problems of inappropriate output from such aspects as pre-interpreting preparation,case analysis and post-interpreting summary.By case analyses,the causes of the problems are studied and the corresponding countermeasures are brought forth----the approaches of omission and induction dealing with the redundancy and the approaches of paraphrase and free translation dealing with the translationese.It is hoped that this practice could provide some experience and methods for future interpretation practice,so as to further improve the quality of interpretation,and at the same time provide practical reference for the self-training of student interpreters.
