In recent years, social trends such as the widening gap between the rich and the poor, and the consolidation of social class have occurred in China.Social justice has been greatly challenged, and the public's mentality has also undergone huge changes.Among the college student groups in lower social class, the performance has become more obvious and a large number of addictions have occurred Games,pre-consumption,and other activities that focus on immediate enjoyment and lack of long-term goals.Based on this reality, this study raises three questions to be examined: First,in the college student group, what is the relationship between the social class and the pursuit of long-term goals? Second,if there is a clear relationship between the two, what is its psychological mechanism? Third,is there a boundary condition for this psychological mechanism? To answer these three questions, this study builds a moderated mediation model with social class as independent variable,long-term goal pursuit as dependent variable, belief in a just world as mediating variable, and class mobility perception as moderating variable. And designed three studies to test this model.Study 1 used the correlation method to explore the impact of social class on long-term goal pursuit and selected 427 college students as subjects. It was found that there was a significant positive correlation between social class and long-term goal pursuit. The lower the social class of an individual, the lower their willingness to pursue long-term goals.Study 2 used the experimental method to study the psychological mechanism that influences the pursuit of long-term goals of the social class, with 247 college students as subjects. It was found that the belief in a just world played a mediating role between the two. That is,the social class will affect the belief in a just world, and then affect the long-term goals pursuit.Study 3 used the correlation method to study the impact of social class on the pursuit of long-term goals and based on study 2 added the perception of class mobility as a moderating variable to test whether the overall model of moderated mediation is established.Participants were 303 college students. The results showed that social class have a significant positive prediction effect on long-term goals persuit, that is,the lower the social class, the level of willingness of low-level individuals to pursue long-term goals is also low.Study 3 also found that the belief in a just world played a mediating role in the impact of social class on long-term goal pursuits. The lower the social class of an individual, the lower their level of belief in a just world, and the lower their level of willingness to pursue long-term goals. But research has not found a moderating effect on the perception of class flow.In summary, the conclusions drawn by this study are as follows:First, the social class has a significant positive predictive effect on the pursuit of long-term goals.Compared with high social class individuals, the low social class individuals, their willingness to pursue long-term goals will be lower; The second is that the belief in a just world plays a mediating role between the social class and the pursuit of long-term goals. That is,the lower the social class, the lower the level of belief in a just world, and the lower the willingness to pursue long-term goals.
