The Effect Of Social Class On Intelligent Reasoning: The Mediating Role Of Relational Mobility

Whether it is between different civilizations,economies,or interpersonal relationships,it is important to constructively deal with conflicts.Wise reasoning has always been regarded as a good medicine to deal with all kinds of conflicts.Studies have found that wise reasoning is influenced by cultural factors.Different social classes are different in cultures.In the United States,social class negatively predicts the level of wise reasoning.However,the predictive effect of social class on wise reasoning may be different in countries for cultural difference.Relationship mobility can reflect people's opportunity and ability to establish or terminate interpersonal relationship.The level of relationship mobility affects people's way of thinking when facing interpersonal conflict.Wise reasoning is a strategy for interpersonal conflict.Therefore,relationship mobility and wise reasoning may be highly correlated.Therefore,this study hypothesizes that in China,social class has a positive predictive effect on wise reasoning,and relational mobility plays a mediating role.The research objectives are divided into three points:(1)to verify the differences of wisdom reasoning among different social classes in Chinese culture;(2)the influence of relational mobility on wisdom reasoning;(3)the influence of social class on wisdom reasoning and the mediating effect of relational mobility.Based on the sample of students,345 valid questionnaires were collected from Nanjing Normal University,participants are between 15 and 34 years old.Through correlation analysis and mediating effect test,it was found that:(1)in Chinese culture,there is a positive correlation between social class and wise reasoning;(2)there is no significant correlation between social class and relational mobility;(3)relational mobility has a partial mediating effect between social class and intelligent reasoning Use.Study 2 collected 320 valid questionnaires online,participants are non-students between 16 and 66 years old.The results show that:(1)in Chinese culture,there is a positive correlation between social class and wise reasoning;(2)Social class is negatively correlate with relational mobility;(3)relational mobility partially mediates between social class and wise reasoning.In general,the conclusions of this study are as follows:First,the social class has a significant positive predictive effect on the level of intelligent reasoning.Compared with the lower social class,the high social class has a higher level of wise reasoning;The second is that relational mobility plays a part of the mediating role between social class and wise reasoning,that is,the higher the social class,the lower the level of relational mobility and the higher the level of wise reasoning.
