Museums have shifted from focusing on collections to focusing on audiences,and the importance of audience research has become increasingly prominent.For museum managers and educators,with the aid of audience research,they can re-recognize their audience in a scientific system.The study of family audiences,an important audience group of art museums,is actually beneficial to promote the interactive relationship between art museums and family audiences,and influence the audience service,educational planning,marketing strategy and exhibition design of art museums.In the long run,it is more conducive to cultivating future potential audiences of art museums to achieve audience expansion.At present,domestic audience research is mostly general quantitative research such as the analysis and statistics of audience population,and lacks in-depth discussion of qualitative research;and there are few researches on family audiences,and most of the research takes place in natural science museums,lacking the diversity of research fields.At the same time,most of the research objects are simply for adults or children in the family audience,and there is a lack of research on the actual interaction between the two.This research takes Kunming Contemporary Art Museum as the research field,based on 4E experience theory,interactive experience model and contextual learning theory,and takes family audiences visiting contemporary art exhibitions in the art museum as the research object.Through personal meaning maps and in-depth interviews.Conduct qualitative research on the experience and meaning construction of family audiences visiting art museums,with a view to comprehensively understanding the learning interactions of family audiences in art museums and exploring art museums.The relevance to the family audience is expected to further understand the needs and expectations of parent-child audiences,and to provide references for the museum's future planning of related educational activities and exhibitions.
