In this work about the translation of the first section of the third chapter of the historical and academic work ?China in Europe, myth and reality(X? — XV?centuries)?,which was written by the modern Russian writer Olga Lazarevna Fishman, mainly talked about China through the eyes of the French Enlightenment.China is playing an increasingly important role in the international community, constantly striving for exchanges and cooperation with countries around the world. The translation of this text can,to a certain extent, contribute to the cultural exchange between China and Russia,so that readers can understand the history of China and France during that period and look at these two countries from a new perspective and the influence of China.to the French Enlightenment. This talk aims to apply theoretical knowledge in translation practice,to summarize the problems that arise in the translation process, such as names, book titles and historical facts,as well as methods for solving these problems,in order to provide some inspiration for the translation of such texts. The translator must first understand the text and the author, and secondly, have overall control over the content of the professional direction, and then apply their own translation principles throughout the translation process. This talk is based on the translation of the source text, draws on relevant translation theories,is guided by teleology and adopts a translation strategy of domestication, selects typical cases from different points of view, and cites the content of many related works as arguments for analysis.and summarize text translation methods. It is mainly subdivided into the following aspects: translation of book titles, translation of cultural words, translation of the names of Sinologists, and translation of sentences.Translation of sentences mainly includes the following methods:transposition, splitting and combining, adding, omitting, replacing and adding translator's notes. The translator strictly demanded himself throughout the translation process and always adhered to the following two principles: one is the principle of careful examination and comparative analysis, and the other is the principle of taking full account of the reader's feeling. To this end,we added translator's notes if necessary and spent a lot of time summarizing the names of people and books in the text and compiled two appendices. In the first application, the translator classified the names by nationality, including the Chinese translation of the names,as well as by the years of birth and death. The second appendix indicates the source text, translation and author of the book titles. The creation of the two appendices is intended to make it easier for readers to search accordingly and hope that they can be used for reference.
