A Study Of Rock Drum Recordings

The promotion of mass media and performances and events in China has greatly contributed to the spread of rock and roll music.As a result,the Chinese rock and roll market is rapidly developing,with its audience continuing to expand.The Chinese rock and roll has become an important part of today’s commercial music market.However,due to several reasons like the late start,the shortage of long-term capital investment,the lack of advanced theoretical guidance in the production process and so on,the quality of the Chinese rock and roll music can hardly reach of which the foreign rock and roll music.So it is urgent to promote the theoretical research related production.This paper makes a comprehensive study on recording techniques of the drum group in the rock music production and summarizes common production methods.Combined with personal experience and case study,this paper provides an operable solution to the problems related to the drum set production in the early stage of sound picking and the later stage of sound mixing.The unwritten technical methods invented by sound engineers for drum recording in the past are summarized.The complex relationship between the development of audio technology and sound aesthetics is combed to provide some experience for the music technology practitioners involved in the production of rock music and video products in the future.
