| The primary task of today's educators is to shape a person with lifelong learning ability.As such,the importance of independent learning is self-evident.We live in an era of information explosion.Knowledge takes information as the carrier and language,as a communication tool,plays a very important role in the transmission of knowledge.This paper summarizes the difficulties and the solutions encountered in the translation of the book,from lexical,sentence and text analysis levels.I hope it will provide a certain degree of reference for translators in this field to improve the quality of translation.This report is based on the English-Chinese translation of Autonomous Language Learning with Technology: Beyond the Classroom.According to the theory of text types,the book features informative texts.Based on the characteristics of the original text,the translation theory adopted by the author is Newmark's communicative translation and semantic translation theory,and the translation strategies are flexibly selected according to the specific problems.The report consists of six chapters,the first of which introduces the background of the selected works and the project significance,targets,and reporting structure.The second chapter is a literature review,including the theoretical basis of translation and the theory of translation techniques for informative texts.The third chapter is the task description,which makes a detailed analysis of the text of the selected works,including the introduction of the content of the works,and the analysis of the words,sentences and writing styles of the original texts.It also introduces the translation tools used by the author,and give details about preparation before translation,translation process and revision.The fourth chapter case analysis,giving examples in detail,analyze translation strategies from word translation to sentence translation and then to text translation.The last chapter is a summary of the translation work. |
