At the beginning of the 19th century,romantic music began to rise and develop rapidly.During this period,music paid more attention to personal emotional expression,and the music style was more free and unrestrained.When the romantic music developed to the middle stage,lyrical operas began to appear,and opera creation emphasized the use of music to portray the emotions of the characters and to create the image of the characters.French composer Saint-Sa(?)ns(Charles Camille Saint-Sa(?)ns,1835-1921)’s opera "Samson and Dalila" is one of the important works of this period.Encountered the story of Dalila framed and betrayed in the struggle."Mom coeur s’ ouvre à ta voix" is a very important aria in this opera,which played a key role in the development and shaping of the character of Dalila.It is a classic of the mezzo-soprano aria.This article will start from the writing style of the composer Saint-Sa(?)ns to explore the creative background of the opera "Samson and Dalila",and to understand the plot and content of the opera.It also analyzes "Mom coeur s’ ouvre à ta voix" from the following three aspects: first is the integrity of the work,the whole song highlights the emotional entanglement between the characters’ love and hate;second is the analysis of harmony music,starting with the structure of the music,and exploring how the composer Express Dalila’s inner feelings about Samson’s contradictions through composition methods,and better grasp the musicality and emotional trend of the work through musical harmony analysis;finally,listen carefully and compare the details of the music when different singers sing this song.Processing,combining with own singing practice,researching and exploring how to better interpret character characteristics and musical images.It is hoped that on the basis of understanding the rhythm,intonation,melody characteristics,musical terminology,musical structure,singing skills,and emotional processing of this song,I hope to have a deep understanding and insight into the character’s personality characteristics and character contradictions.
