Practice Report Of English-Chinese Consecutive Interpretation Of Samsung's New Product Launch In 2021

This practice report is based on the English-Chinese consecutive interpreting simulation of Samsung's product launch in 2021.Through this interpretation practice,the writer has not only gained valuable experience,but also found the problems of the interpretation.Firstly,the task of interpretation is introduced,and then three kinds of problems are summarized and feasible solutions are discussed based on specific cases.For the problem of the redundancy,the strategies of omission and condensation are adopted to simplify the target language.For the problem of misinterpretation,the strategies of word meaning speculation and free translation are adopted to avoid the misinterpretation of polysemy words and some sentences.For the incoherence of the target language,the methods of adding conjunctions and transformation of passive voice are adopted.By writing the practice report,the writer has a further understanding of interpretation of the product launch,and hopes that the problems and countermeasures in the report can provide some references for other similar interpretation practices and ensure the smooth operation of the interpretation tasks.
