In the consecutive interpretation of the product launch event that serves as a role of marketing promotions for electronics multinationals, the interpreters are required to convey valuable information points accurately, clearly and logically to the audience.However, difficulties in interpreting technical terms, Chinese idioms and information mining always prevent the interpreters from achieving satisfactory interpreting performance. To address these difficulties, this report studies the product launch event of Huawei Mate 8 to explore consecutive interpreting strategies in three aspects: (1)The interpreters must facilitate the audience to understand new technical terms quickly by making reasonable elaborations; (2) The interpreters should use the clarity strategy in interpreting Chinese idioms to overcome culture differences; (3) The interpreters could do information mapping to mine useful information and make the interpreted text logically coherent. It is hoped that all these strategies may improve the interpreting quality and contribute to practical value in consecutive interpreting for the product launch events in the future.
