With the COVID-19 outbreak occurring at the end of 2019,the international demand for events related to nCoV-19 vaccines is increasing, and the interpretation activities for vaccine conferences will continue to increase.A professional interpreter plays an important role in nCoV-19 vaccine conservation between China and the UK.The English-Chinese consecutive interpretation practice report is based on the nCoV-19 vaccine lecture by Professor Sarah Gilbert of Oxford University. There are four parts in the report, including interpretation task description, process description, cases analysis and conclusion. The thesis analyzes the problems in practice from three aspects and summarize the corresponding countermeasures. The first part analyzes the listening problems caused by the speaker's rapid speech and lack of background knowledge in the special lecture on nCoV-19 vaccine, and proposes two corresponding solutions, which are rhythm group division and the construction of nCoV-19 vaccine knowledge system. The second part analyzes the problem of disfluency in the target language caused by the redundant notes and stick to the source word order, and puts forward two corresponding solutions, which are efficient interpretation notes and deverbalization. The third part deals with the problem of redundancy caused by improper self-correction and meaningless filling, and two strategies are proposed to solve this problem, which are omission and information integration. The thesis observes the problems based on my own experience for professionals in the field of nCoV-19 vaccine communication between English and Chinese, and endeavors to provide some suggestions for reference.
