San Chao Bei Meng Hui Bian(????????)is a compilation of historical records. The author Xu Mengshen collected many writing materials. In order to retain the original appearance and reflect the true situation of the exchanges between the enemy and us at that time, most of the materials were not deleted. Some of the materials restored the scene of the negotiation between Song and Jin,to a certain extent, which reflects the characteristics of spoken language at that time. Therefore, this history book has important value for studying the language phenomenon of Song Dynasty.Conjunctions are a relatively conservative type in the function word system, but there have been many changes in conjunctions in modern Chinese. The use of conjunctions in the colloquial corpus of San Chao Bei Meng Hui Bian(????????)has its peculiarities. Therefore, the dissertation will systematically describe the conjunction system of San Chao Bei Meng Hui Bian(????????in order to observe the development and usage of conjunctions in modern Chinese. The thesis is divided into three chapters to study the conjunction system of the selected corpus. The first chapter examines the usage of joint relational conjunctions in the San Chao Bei Meng Hui Bian(????????),and the second chapter examines the usage of subordinating relational conjunctions in the San Chao Bei Meng Hui Bian(????????).These two chapters mainly examine the characteristics of the use of conjunctions from the perspective of syntax and semantics. The total number of conjunctions in the selected corpus is not large, but it can also reflect some new features of conjunctions in modern Chinese.Through investigation,it is found that the conjunctions in the book reflect the following characteristics:one is the internal transformation of conjunctions and new usages, such as hypothetical conjunctions appearing in vertical and conjunctive usage;the second is the emergence of three-syllable conjunctions, reflecting the common use of corpus-retained spoken language vocabulary,in addition, the way of forming new words by compound words with affixes also appeared in this period;third, the conjunctions are mainly inherited from the ancient times, reflecting the stability of language development, and the two-syllabic compound words are more formal and cross-layered.This kind of word formation is the main form, which reflects the more productive feature of the word formation method of cross-layer lexicalization in conjunctions and other function words.Chapter Three examines the important role of conjunctions in text cohesion and coherence from the perspective of text linguistics. The research on conjunctions has gradually developed from relying on complex sentences to relying on larger units of textual structure. Therefore, the paper studies the pragmatic functions of conjunctions from the perspective of the text, and better explores the specific semantic inclinations in contextual conditions, interpersonal functions of certain conjunctions and their role in the organization of text information. The third chapter analyzes the global connection function and the origin and evolution of the three transfer conjunctions in the book:Zhi Yu(“??”)Zhi Ru(“??”)Qie Ru(“??”).These three conjunctions in the narrative chapters of the San Chao Bei Meng Hui Bian(????????)mainly reflect the function of the information organization of the text, that is,the basic topic functions such as topic change, topic advancement, topic continuation, and so on.Through comparison with other types of texts,it is found that they have the semantic expression function of marking examples or marking comparisons in the argumentative texts. It can be seen that conjunctions have stylistic selectivity and functional differences in pragmatic expression.
