In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's basic education reform has gradually evolved from the subject value stage of giving priority to basic knowledge and basic skills to the education value stage of developing students' quality and core quality.To realize the function of displine education and develop the core quality of students in the new era has become the internal requirement of improving the quality of education in an all-round way.Under the background of the development of the times and the reform of education,it is necessary to discuss how to implement the goal of displine education based on the reality..Teaching material is a key carrier of implementing the goal of displineeducation,so this study focuses on teaching materials,and expects to find out the realization of the goal of displine education in the textbook.Based on the literature research and expert investigation,four dimensions of textbook analysis under the displine education objectives are established: language ability,cross-cultural ability,thinking quality and learning ability.Taking English as an example,this paper uses text analysis method to analyze quantitatively and qualitatively the junior high school English textbook(Go For It,PEP version)and expounds the shortcomings of the teaching materials in implementing the objectives of displine education by combining interview.The results are as follows: exercises in the textbook are abundant in quantity,arranged in a reasonable order,and present various forms.The design of listening,speaking,reading and writing exercises has their own characteristics,which can cultivate students' language ability well;the cultural content in the textbook is in line with the cultural consciousness objectives in compulsory education curriculum standards;to some extent,the students' thinking quality and learning ability are cultivated.But from the perspective of the goals of displine education,there are still some shortcomings in textbook design: imitation practice is mostly,the breadth and time of cultural topic are stricted,high-level thinking practice is less,and lack of guidance for students' self-evaluation.Based on the above findings,the following suggestions are put forward for the compilation of teaching materials: further strengthen the deep learning of language to consolidate the basic ability of students;improve the cultural breadth and sense of time to cultivate students' cross-cultural ability;pay attention to the training of higher-level thinking to improve the quality of students' thinking;pay attention to the cultivation of metacognitive strategies to develop students' autonomous learning ability.In addition,teachers should consciously deepen their cognition of the value of displineeducation,and combine the characteristics of the displineto improve their professional quality.On the basis of flexible use of textbook,teachers should expand the educational resources appropriately,so as to implement the goals of displine education in teaching.
