A Study On Situational Adverbs Of "X Mouth"

In Chinese,there are many adverbs containing human morphemes,which can be roughly divided into two categories:manner adverbs and time adverbs.Scholars mostly focus on the time adverbs,but there is little research on manner adverbs containing human morphemes.The research objects of this paper are six�Xkou(X?)�manner adverbs with human morpheme�kou(mouth)�.They mainly modify verbal verbs and dominate the field of describing speech behavior.They are rich in semantic features and expressive functions,and have different ways of forming words,which are very representative and special among manner adverbs with human morpheme.Taking semantics as the framework construction standard,this paper divides the research objects into three groups of two combinations,which are adverbs�jikou(??)�and�mankou(??)�,adverbs�xinkou(??)�and�shunkou(??)�,adverbs�juekou(??)�and�shikou(??)�,and makes a case study and comparative study on them from two dimensions of synchronic and diachronic.There are six chapters in this paper:Chapter one is the introduction,which introduces the research object,significance and research status in detail.Chapter two analyses the adverbs�jikou�and�mankou�.Both are examined in detail from three planes.Syntactically,it focuses on the nature of the predicate central language,the collocation form with the predicate central language,and the differences in the co-occurrence characteristics with adverbs.Semantically,it analyzes their semantic differences and unique semantic characteristics.Pragmatically,it mainly investigates the similarities and differences of their expression functions.Chapter three analyses the adverbs�xinkou�and�shunkou�.It also focuses on the comparative study of the two words from the perspectives of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.Syntactically,it investigates their syntactic distribution,their combination with verbs,their use in special sentence patterns and their combination with prepositional phrases.Semantically,it first discriminates the two words,then analyzes their praise and criticism tendency,and finally summarizes their semantic properties.Pragmatically,it mainly makes a comparative study from stylistic color.Chapter four analyses the adverbs � juekou � and � shikou �.We makes a comparative study of this two words from three aspects: syntactic expression and co-occurrence,semantic difference analysis,pragmatic function and manner expression.Syntactically,it arranges and analyzes the collocation characteristics of the two words with verbs and verb phrases,summarizes their negative structure,and describes and analyzes their choices and limitations with adverbs and tense and aspect markers.Semantically,first of all,it analyzes the differences between the two ways of expressing meaning combined with dictionary interpretation;Secondly,compare their emotional tendencies;Finally,the semantic features highlighted by the two are summarized.Pragmatically,it discusses from three aspects: focus expression function,subjective prominence and reinforcement,and manner expression.Chapter five is the diachronic investigation of the research object of this paper.The first is to investigate the word meaning of the common morpheme�kou�of the adverb of�Xkou�.On this basis,we describes and analyzes the word formation path of the three groups of research objects in turn,and summarizes the differences of the word formation path of each group of�XKou�adverbs.Combined with the word formation path of�Xkou�manner adverbs,this paper summarizes the motivation and mechanism to promote their word formation.Finally,it explains the imbalance of the development of �Xkou�situation adverbs.At last is a summary and weak point of this thesis.
