The Formation Process Of The "Yi Zhi" Predicate-object Manner Adverbs

As a special one in the Chinese adverb system,manner adverb is different from the others,even in the study on them.Compared to the study on the other adverbs,the Study on manner adverb has a later start and a more incomplete content and still exist a lot of disagreements and disputes,which means there is a research space and value for us to study on manner adverb.Based on the previous study and the corpus fact,this article analyzes the formation process of the “Yi zhi” predicate-object manner adverbs,concludes their transformation in syntax,semantic and pragmatics,summarizes the reason why they lexicalized and grammaticalized,and thereout explores the rule and characteristic of their lexicalization and grammaticalization.This article has seven chapters.Chapter one is the introduction of the essay.It summarized the background of this subject and current study situation of this subject in educational circles.Chapter two investigates the “X-yi” predicate-object manner adverbs.We select “Wu yi” and “Ke yi” as the research objects,which our predecessors have not studied.Chapter three focus on the “X-xin” predicate-object manner adverbs.We select“Ku xin” and “Cun xin” as the research objects,which our predecessors have not studied.Chapter four investigates the “X-qing” predicate-object manner adverbs.We select “Ren qing” and “Zong qing” as the research objects,which our predecessors have not studied.Chapter five is centered on the other “Yi zhi” predicate-object manner adverbs.We select two words as the research objects: “Jie cheng”,which our predecessors have not studied,and “Wu duan”,which has not been fully studied.Chapter six concludes the motivation,mechanism and characteristic of the”Yi zhi” predicate-object manner adverbs’ lexicalization and grammaticalization.Chapter seven is the conclusion,summarizing the whole article.
