Research On Social Assistance For The Disabled In Rural Areas Of Henan Province

As a vulnerable group,the disabled have been widely concerned all over the world.China has a large disabled population base,three-quarters of which live in rural areas,and the number continues to increase.Therefore,the cause of the disabled in our country at the grass-roots level.Although China's social assistance for the disabled has made great achievements in the past 40 years of reform and opening up,there are still a series of problems.Social assistance is one of the important ways for rural disabled people to improve their quality of life,participate in social activities on an equal basis and realize self-development.Based on the current situation of social assistance for rural disabled people in Henan province,relevant laws and policies,statistical yearbook of disabled people and questionnaire data,this paper makes qualitative and quantitative analysis.We can see that the social assistance for the disabled in rural areas of Henan province is still facing many problems that need to be solved,including the insufficiency of special assistance,the uneven distribution of assistance resources and the unbalanced supply of social services.Finally,based on the industrial structure,human resource structure,cultural characteristics and development strategy of rural areas in Henan Province,this paper draws on the advanced experience at home and abroad and puts forward targeted countermeasures and Suggestions,so as to promote the sustainable development of social assistance for the disabled in rural areas in Henan Province.
