Since the 1990 s,the process of urbanization in our country has been advancing rapidly, the family characteristics of population mobility have become increasingly obvious. Some school-age children follow their parents to the cities to study. In the process of adapting to the new environment, migrant children are confused as to whether they are rural or urban, and fall into the dilemma of self-identity.This problem hinders the process of migrant children's integration into urban life. This paper used interviews and questionnaires to investigate the self-identity status of urban migrant children in Y Primary School in Shanxi Province,it is found that urban migrant children are affected by factors such as cognitive bias, length of time in the city, family environment, and have problems such as inactive identity exploration, negative identity evaluation, and difficulties in identity adaptation.Based on the above survey, the author selected an urban migrant child with a weak self-identity as the service object of the casework, the author and the service object jointly developed a service strategy and provided eight case services for the service object according to the plan.At the beginning of the service,it mainly helped the service target realize that he was in the dilemma of self-identity,initially changed the irrational cognition of the service target, and established the confidence to integrate into the city.In the mid-service period,it stimulated positive changes in the self-identity status of service target by understanding the urban environment and changing his life.In the later stage of the service,we cooperated with the service object's parents, teachers, peers, and the community to build environmental support for the service object's self-identity.Through case service, the life status of the service object has changed significantly, the communication with peers has increased, the enthusiasm for interacting with parents has been increased,he can actively participate in community activities, and his self-identity status has improved.Through this service, the author found that stimulating the subjective initiative of the service target can promote the achievement of the service goal, building environmental support can promote the service target to get rid of the dilemma of self-identity,and integrating community activities into the case service can effectively improve the effectiveness of the service. There are still some shortcomings in this research, such as the unclear classification of the self-identity dilemma of urban migrant children, and the lack of diversity in the form of case service, which requires further in-depth research.
