Migrant children are the special populations in the process of economic development and urbanization in our country. Under the context of Dual economic system, they generally come from the rural or backward areas around the city. From rural to urban or more prosperous regions, The different living conditions, usually make them would face many problems. In the Short term, face with problems of adaptation to a new environment, In Long-term perspective, they face the role conversion from rural people to city people. Althoug have many academic studies about Migrant children, but these studies are mostly theoretical, and focus migrant children education, medical and other sociology contents, though there are few researches concerned about adapt and integrate into urban and other aspects of psychology, but the interpretation appeare to be inadequate for the outstanding problems for Migrant children caused by rapid urbanization. And the Research for the populations on the city role identity will help us further understanding of the process,then provide theoretical support for the urbanization.This study constructed the structure of role identity theory of urban, by logical reasoning and questionnaire on the basis of relate researches from home and abroad. The structure is verified by Exploratory factor analysis and Confirmatory factor analysis in Chongqing students. Meanwhile, investigated the suitability of structure for different groups.On this basis, we analysis the role identity's differences between in genders, grades, and other variables, Based on the above steps, this study get the following conclusions:1. The self-edited measure tool:migrant children Citizen-role Identity Scale, is fit for psychometric rules.2. The Citizen-role Identity is a multi-dimensional structure, and can be divided into positive emotions, perceived ability, access to information and behavioral tendencies. The structure possesses consistency and stability of cross grades, genders, registered residences3. Citizen-role Identity exits the significant difference between in grades, residences, living environments. Specifically, the grade difference on the overall performance is the lower grades better than high; in the school segment, Primary better than junior; in the living environment, the residence around more city people better than around half city people and half rural people, and better than around more rural people.4. Development trend of the grade, changes were increased and then decreased, and the sixth grade is the highest point. residence time in the trend, the overall trend showed a U-type development, the interval which live stage from six months to two years, is the U-bottom.5. Social support and personality significantly affect citizen-role Identity, but socio-economic status and Perceived discrimination have no significant affect. This study Also found that social support act partial mediating effect between in personality and role identity.
