A Report On The Present Situation Of The Community Inclusion Of The Migrant Children In Haiheng

Along with the progress of industrialization and development of economy, migrant children following their parents from rural to urban have a series of psychological and behavioral maladjustment associate with the Urban-rural division of the dual household registration system and other kinds of social and economic differences attached on it. The study found that the migrant children have serious dilemma integrate into urban community through the investigation and analysis of the migrant children’s living condition in Haiheng, that is, the disturbance between the parents and the children, the obstacles in school, the peer relationship barrier, the lack of identity for the community and city, and low self-assessment. On the basis of full investigations, the study put forward the basic strategies and paths to solve these problems from the perspective of professional social work. Namely, strengthening avocation to create public opinion environment conductive to the development of migrant children; working together to take an active role in migrant children work and eliminating the migrant children’s social integration barriers through schools and administrative departments; vigorously promoting professional social work in strengthening professional services in the migrant children integrating into urban community; enhancing the social policy research in integrating and exploring the social work services mode innovation in order to help migrant children to form good cognition and personality and grow up mentally and physically so that they could integrate into the urban community smoothly.
