Research On The Cultural Adaptability Of Immigrants In Relocation Sites For Poverty Alleviation And Relocatio

This paper argues that cultural adaptation is one of the most critical factors affecting the follow-up development of poverty alleviation immigrants.Based on the perspective of cultural adaptation theory,this paper uses questionnaire survey and participatory observation method to conduct deeply research on Mashan community,Buma community and Tongyuan community in Xingyi City of Qianxinan from three dimensions: spiritual level,material level and institutional level.It is found that the problems of immigrants in the process of cultural adaptation,there are “lack” of material level such as shortage of livelihood sources and the single means of making a living.institutional level.There are “aphasia” at institutional level such as lack of rules consciousness,low autonomy of public affairs participation and weak awareness of social security rights.Th spiritual level appears “Marginalization” like the narrow range of social communication ability,low sense of psychological identity,difficult integration of religious beliefs and customs,weak sense of public morality and the disordered language communication.Furthermore,it points out that the ways to promote the cultural adaptation of the relocated migrants are as follows.Firstly,optimize and improve the sustainable livelihood of migrants,reasonably adjust the livelihood capital of migrants,provide demand-oriented jobs and carry out diversified employment training.Secondly,strengthen the cultivation of immigrants' awareness of rules and ethics,plan the community organization and management system,broaden the depth and breadth of community-participation,take diversified social security publicity activities.Thirdly,build community communication platform and the sense of identity of immigrants actively,promote the publicity and education of national culture,help and guide immigrants to carry out cultural protection,use aesthetic education to improve the social morality awareness of immigrants and carry out the national common language Putonghua training,...
