Since Donald John Trump has taken the charge of the White House in 2017,he has made adjustments of diplomatic strategy as facing the declining strength of the United States as well as the rising power of China.Besides,China and Russia are both taken as two major competitors by America. With the weakening force, the U.S.is shrinking in Middle East and Europe, withdrawing from Afghanistan, and focusing on Indo-Pacific area. Therefore, the new US national security strategy is made so that America can compete with the increasing power of them, which can not only implement its limited strategy at a low cost in the Middle East as before, but also make an impact on the geopolitical value of China and Russia with geographical advantages.According to Geopolitical Theory, the study adopts methods of Historical Research,Level of Analysis etc.On the basis of the successive American strategy of Central Asia after the Cold War,the study takes the Trump administration's Central Asia strategy is take as the research object, followed by the analysis and research.First,it is conducted that the multi-level analysis of the background of the introduction of the Trump administration's Central Asia strategy. Then, the content of Trump's Central Asia strategy from the aspects of politics, economy, and security are summarized. Finally, with the combination of the international and domestic situation in the U.S,it is the illustrated that summary of the adjustive characteristics of the new US and Central Asia strategy. The study also makes a multi-dimensional elaboration and analysis on the influence of the adjusted U.S.Central Asia strategy as well as the challenges and difficulties it faces. The new strategy continues the strategic target of successive US governments in Central Asia, including containing China and Russia, drawing the countries in the region into the western democratic camp, and shaping Central Asia development direction and political orientation according to the will of the United States. The core issues of the strategy still contain democracy, economy, energy and security. However, the new strategy puts more emphasis on the independence of Central Asia, intends to enhance the position of the region in the U.S.global strategy, and redefines Afghanistan as a part of Central Asia.More intensive geopolitical competition and evident zero-sum-game thinking, the U.S.to China and Russia in the region is increasingly aggressive and exclusion. On the whole,Trump government's strategic existence in Central Asia remains at a limited level and lacks innovative measures.Under the restriction of multiple factors, the new strategy is difficult to achieve the expected goal. With the inauguration of Biden and the adjustment of domestic and foreign policies, the U.S.Central Asia strategy will be partly inherited and changed. What remains unchanged with regard to the strategy of Central Asia is that the United States will still take national interests as the primary principle in formulating its foreign policy.Central Asia is still an important region for the United States to deploy strategic forces around China and Russia. However, with the weakening of priority policy attention from the United States, the intensity of confrontation between China, the United States and Russia will probably change.Returning to Atlanticism makes the United States pay more attention to Europe and less attention to Central Asia in the future. The decline of US intervention ability in Central Asia and Caucasus will trigger Russia and China to take countermeasures.
