Su Zhong Su Wan "Life" Magazine And Youth Education Reform Research (1945-1946)

In the modern journalistic history of China,“Zou Taofen” and “Life” always follow each other.Compared to Zou Taofen's “Life Series”,a magazine named “Life”was born in the Liberated Area of Central Jiangsu in March,1945,and its cover letters continued the words of Zou Taofen's Life Weekly.As we all know,Zou Taofen had inspected the anti-Japanese democratic bases areas in central and northern Jiangsu,and planned to run a publication,but failed to achieve.This paper mainly uses the publication,which is also named “Life” as the research object,to explore how the Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine serves the youth in the base areas,and its role and influence.This paper trys to reveal how it educated and transformed the youth,and its own innovations,especially its differences under the influence of the news enterprise construction of the anti-Japanese democratic regime.It sets out to research the birth and subject of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine.Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine was founded under the background of our party's comprehensive counter-offensive against the Japanese and puppet forces.The overall society has a relatively stable environment,coupled with the vigorous development of various base areas and the great importance of our party's cultural work.Its birth has a good environment for the development of journalism.Underthe great emphasis of our party on youth work and the propaganda of the “Tao Fen Spirit”,Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine launched the task of educating and transforming youth in the base area.The research of the content and characteristics of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine is considered that the magazine has a team of editors and writers covering various fields and with rich youth work experience,which makes the magazine have diversity and professionalism at the same time.At the same time,in terms of content,Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine not only attaches great attention to democratic education in current affairs and popularized new democratic thought,but also paid attention to imparting scientific and cultural knowledge needed in the process of participating in practical struggle and construction,so as to improve the scientific and cultural literacy of the youth in the liberated areas.In order to make all the young people understand,the words of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine are plain and popular,which is convenient for the implementation of the Party's line,principles and policies and specific work.The analysis of the characteristics and effects of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine from three perspectives: the new "life",the new regime,and the new youth.Due to the different background and environmental objects,the purpose and content emphasis of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine and “Life Series” are different.But they all continued Zou Taofen's spirit of focusing on the interests of the people and paying attention to the needs of readers.Another characteristic of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine is reflected in its relationship with the anti-Japanese democratic regime construction.It takes the cultural and educational policies of the anti-Japanese democratic regime as the guiding principle,and vigorously promotes the party's politics.It is also the main propaganda of the Central China Youth Movement,side with the construction of the anti-Japanese democratic regime.Therefore,she played a certain role in publicity and education,unity and reform of youth,and the construction of anti-Japanese democratic bases.The realistic enlightenment of Suzhong and Suwan Life Magazine lies in the fact that in the construction of the journalism team,it is necessary to attach importance to the vanguard role of young groups,and by improving the political literacy and professional capabilities of the youth,they can help the continuous innovation and development of journalism.Secondly,in educating young people through the media,journalism should always adhere to the principle of party spirit,firm and correct political direction,propagandize the party's policies and guidelines,and adhere to the correct guidance of public opinion in news work.Finally,we should adhere to the purpose of serving the people.We should not only help the youth,but also educate and guide them.We should not only meet the internal needs of the youth,but also improve their external qualities.We should not only provide objective and fair reports,but also pay attention to listening to the voices of the youth.
