For a long time,life education in China has been lacking,and started later than in western countries.In recent years,the frequent occurrence of violence and conflict among young people makes life education widely concerned and discussed.As a special group in the society,the orphaned and disabled youth in welfare homes are in adolescence with more self-conflicts in their life course.In the process of entering the society,the orphaned and disabled youth from 14 to 20 years old are faced with a variety of academic work choices,interpersonal,behavior,self-awareness and other problems in welfare homes,school life and social life.Life education can help orphans and Disabled Teenagers to think about the meaning of life,correctly understand themselves,accept others and establish a positive outlook on life.This study takes the social work practice research of s children's Welfare Institute as an example,through interview method,participatory observation method and group work method,to study the group work intervention of life education for the orphaned and disabled youth in 14-20 years old welfare institute.In order to promote the development of the life education of the orphans and Disabled Teenagers in welfare institutions,the preparation work will be carried out in the future.In this group work,there were 5 activities in total,which involved the orphaned and disabled youth who were facing the separation from welfare institutions.The research group work involved the implementable content and methods of life education for orphaned and disabled youth,and reflected on the problems in the process of group work intervention and the main gains of group work intervention from the satisfaction evaluation,effectiveness evaluation and process evaluation of group members.Finally,the paper discusses the advantages and experience of social work intervention in the life education of orphaned and disabled youth,and gets some practical enlightenment on social work intervention in the life education of orphaned and disabled youth in welfare institutions.
