| In this study,based on the analysis of Frances Curcio’s ability to read graphs,and the research of Sulianta and other scholars,this paper divides the level of understanding of statistical graphs into four levels,namely,reading statistical graphs,describing statistical graphs,analyzing statistical graphs and predicting statistical graphs,and determines four types of errors,namely,reading errors,describing errors,analyzing errors and predicting errors.The table of understanding level of these four statistical graphs of junior high school students is studied Now and the causes of the mistakes,and give students in learning and teachers in teaching advice.According to the above division of the level of statistical chart understanding,the author has compiled a test paper that can reflect the level of statistical chart understanding and the type of errors.The purpose of the test paper is to test the broken line statistical chart,bar statistical chart,fan-shaped statistical chart and frequency distribution histogram that junior high school students have learned.Each statistical chart is divided into single type and double type,including eight questions,each of which has four small questions The questions correspond to four levels of the test,with 32 questions in total.Through the analysis,we can find that there are significant differences in the understanding level of four statistical charts among junior high school students.The overall performance is;reading statistical chart is the best,followed by describing statistical chart,the third is analyzing statistical chart,and the worst performance is forecasting statistical chart.Most of the junior high school students can reach the level of reading the statistical chart;on the level of describing the statistical chart,the junior high school students generally perform well,but still have some deficiencies in the ability of calculation and comparison;on the level of analyzing the statistical chart,because the students ignore the connection with the actual questions,the information source of answering questions is only limited to the information of the questions themselves,so at this level On the level of the forecast statistical chart,individual differences are very obvious,there are great difficulties in making a reasonable judgment according to the information provided by the statistical chart,and the overall performance is not up to the level of the forecast statistical chart,which needs to be further improved.In different types of statistical charts,junior high school students also have some differences in their performance.On the whole,the performance of single statistical chart is better than that of double statistical chart.On the level of reading,the performance of broken line statistical chart is better;on the level of description,the performance of bar statistical chart is better;on the level of analysis,the performance of bar statistical chart is better;on the level of prediction,the performance of bar statistical chart is better Broken line statistical chart.Among the four types of errors,the ones with high error rate are analysis errors and prediction errors,and there are significant differences between the two types of questions. |
