Growing "Math-poor students"(students with mathematics learning difficulties)group becomes a more general problem for primary education in China,and junior high school students take the largest proportion among all "Math-poor students" groups.For mathematics teachers,how to assist those "Math-poor students" to learn and transform through teaching and education is a an vital challenge at the moment.Based on the research of scholars,this paper defines the junior high "Math-poor students" combined with the author's own understanding and analysis;analyzes and studies problems,causes of problems and corresponding solutions occurred during mathematics studies of "Math-poor student";and analyzes two experimenters,derives specialized and targeted solutions according to different characteristics presented.Main contents of this paper are listed as follow:Section one:Raise questions.This part states background and significance of problem.Section two:Literature review.This part summarizes domestic and overseas relevant research about the "Math-poor students" problem,also concludes the current situation,concept,forming reasons and solutions of the problem.Section three:Theoretical basis.This part summarizes theoretical evidences of the research,explores learning ability of "Math-poor students" base on the theory of multiple dimension intelligence,transforms and individually instructs different "Math-poor students"base on theories of "stratified teaching" and "Zone of Proximal Development".Section four:Research methods and process.This part selects two students(student A and student B)as researching objects.Students A's mathematics learning difficulty is caused by mathematics abstraction difficulty,and students B's mathematics learning difficulty is caused by mathematics emotion deficiency.This part of the paper tracks two experimenters,studies their implementation and transformation.Section five:Case study result.This part studies changes of students' emotion and results,interviews their parents and proposes more effective solutions.Section six:Conclusion and teaching suggestions.Base on above discussion,this paper sorts most of existing "Math-poor students"problems,analyzes causes of the problems,generated better solutions and provides references for future teaching.
