History education journals are an important window to show the reform of history teaching.In the new historical period,the reform of history teaching in middle schools needs urgent reflection and conclusion.This article intends to analyze the development trends and successes and failures of history teaching reform in recent years from history education journals.At the same time,the author hopes that this research can increase the attention of frontline teachers to history education journals,and then promote the research of history teaching reform in middle schools.There are many types of history education journals.It is obviously unrealistic to include all journals in the research category.Therefore,the selection of journals is very important."History Teaching","Historical Teaching Problems","References to History Teaching in Middle Schools",and "History Teaching in Middle Schools" are important historical education journals recognized by the academic community.The author combed the relevant factors and content of the four journals from 2016 to 2019,grasped the research situation of history teaching reform in middle schools in these four years,what achievements have been made,what are the shortcomings,and what are the implications for future history teaching reform research.This article consists of four parts.The first part:The introduction is mainly carried out from four aspects,explaining the reason,significance,review of academic history,research methods and ideas.The second part:Quantitative analysis is mainly used to statistically analyze the column settings,number of publications,author team,unit institutions,fund papers,etc.of the four major journals.Judging from the related data,the research situation of history teaching reform in middle schools.The third part:mainly adopts the qualitative analysis method.The author divides the study of history teaching reform in middle schools into six categories:history curriculum standards,history teaching practice,history textbooks,history academic evaluation,history teacher professional development,and history education comparative research.First,sort out the publications of each type of research,and explain the status of such research in the research of history teaching reform in middle schools.Then evaluate the research or discuss the author’s perception.The fourth part:Thinking about the enlightenment of the history teaching reform research of middle school in the past four years.First,summarize the research hotspots,cold spots,and constant issues;second,analyze the achievements and problems in the four-year research;finally,look forward to the future research on the history teaching reform of middle schools.The innovation of this article lies in research methods and media selection.The author uses quantitative and qualitative analysis to confirm each other.Data analysis is supplemented by content analysis of the article to enhance credibility.The research medium is set in four major journals.There are both academic and practical journals,which complement each other and have strong persuasion.
