Research On The Social Integration Of Old People Who Lost Their Only Child With Rational Emotional Therapy

Since the family planning policy was implemented in the 1870 s,many families have responded positively to the country’s call to have only one child,becoming the only child family.The one-child family has made a great contribution to controlling the country’s population explosion and promoting national economic development,but there are also great risks.Due to the influence of various uncertain social factors,such as disease,car accident,life pressure,etc.The only child in the family dies and a large number of families lose their only child.There are more and more old people who lost their only child in China.Faced with the sudden shock of losing their children when they grow old,coupled with sudden diseases,depression,world-weariness,and closed and fractured social interactions,old people who lost their only child are struggling in difficulties and have difficulty in living a normal life,resulting in many social integration difficulties.The social integration dilemma of old people who have lost their only child stems from their irrational cognition,including their own irrational cognition and the irrational cognition of the family from all walks of life.The irrational belief caused by the event of losing their only child,the lack of traditional culture and social support leads to the difficulties of social integration,such as the over-generalization of self-identification,the absolutization of social relations,and the disastrous belief of social support.For the old,losing their children has become an unchangeable fact.What they can do is to change their irrational cognition and establish a positive and optimistic rational cognition and mentality to face the new life.Based on this,this paper solve the problem of loss alone the old social integration,guided by the theory of rational emotion,to Huai Yin District W alone family service project as an example,insight into the basic situation of loss of the old man alone,lost analysis alone old man appeared,the reason for difficulties in social integration and use case work,group work,community work three working methods from the present irrational cognition,irrational cognition and establish a rational cognition three aspects to carry on the intervention of social work,and thus help loss alone old man correct irrational cognition to regain social roles,breaking the self sealing various support and actively participate in social activities feel meaning of life.The ultimate purpose of this service is to change the irrational cognition of the old people who have lost their only child,to help the old people who have lost their only child improve their self-identity,establish harmonious social relations,create a good community integration,and obtain the support of the diversified society,so as to integrate into the society with a positive and optimistic attitude andembrace the new life.It is also expected that the results of this study will provide some reference for scholars who pay attention to the social integration of the elderly.
