| Report of the 20 th National Congress of the CPC proposes to adhere to the priority development of education and efforts to cultivate talent for the Party and the country.The root of educating people is to establish morality.As the party’s ideological and political education workers in colleges and universities,college counselors are the "political guides" of college students,and the quality of counselors directly affects the quality of young students.To dedicate themselves to the cause of education,leading students’ ideas and serving the growth of students as their mission.At present,the counselor management responsibilities,content,education and management of a large number of people,the workload is heavy.Under the increasing high expectations from education and society,school counselors are under increasing pressure and are prone to fear and burnout of their profession,and are caught in the dilemma of professional identity,development and promotion,which is also detrimental to the development and growth of students and the construction of the counselor team.In this study,using the rational emotion therapy model in the social work perspective,we studied the burnout case of counselors in college H.Using the general version of the burnout scale MBI-GS,we conducted a questionnaire survey,and combined with the questionnaire analysis and interviews,counselors in college H had high burnout level scores such as emotional exhaustion,dehumanization,and reduced personal fulfillment,and showed signs of burnout behaviors,mainly due to The main reasons are the imperfect construction mechanism of counselor team,insufficient identity of counselors as well as the heavy workload of affairs and the management service ability to be improved.At the same time,representative cases were selected and services were carried out.Through the case work,we found that the social workers were more effective in helping the clients identify irrational beliefs,establish new thinking patterns,improve their mental health and reduce burnout under the guidance of rational emotion therapy model.On this basis,we reflected on the selection of caseworkers and the use of service techniques,and made suggestions such as introducing professional methods of social work,strengthening the training and development of counselors,and improving the growth incentive mechanism. |
