With the whole advancement of basic education curriculum reform,instructional design, one of the hot issues in educational research, is more and more concerned. The senior high school chemistry curriculum in the context of the new curriculum is different significantly from the traditional chemistry curriculum, and this distinction ultimately is reflected in process of instructional design and its implementation. Therefore, the author with the new curriculum ideas analyzed the problems of chemistry instructional design in the theoretical and practical research. The author found that the situation of instructional design of the senior high school chemistry in Gansu Province is not so good by interviewing some senior high school chemistry teachers in Gansu Province. These teachers are not concerned enough about the students during the process of instructional design. The objective of the design is examine-orientation. The teaching content is based on the text knowledge. The teaching method is teacher-orientation. The learning methods and activities of students are very simple. The evaluation of the students is based on the score they get. Teaching reflection is not carried out in time. On the base of the concept of instructional design of the senior high school chemistry, the author explores instructional design of the senior high school chemistry theoretical framework, including the ideas,the pattern, the processes and methods of instructional design of the senior high school chemistry. What is more, a case study of the instructional design"halogen family elements"reinforces the theoretical argument as its focus. In the end , a conclusion is made on the bases of reference review ,practical investigation ,case study as well as theory thinking. In addition ,some suggestion on how to improve the instructional design capability are given, such as upgrading the instructional ideas, grasping newly instructional theories,strengthing training, promoting regional prepare lessons, establishing personal resource library, exploring problems of teaching and paying more attention to the instructional reflection.
