Emotions play a key role in shaping visitors' experience and their satisfaction and behavioral intentions for revisited destinations. At present, the research on tourists'emotional experience involves many aspects such as festivals, shopping, theme parks, vacations, historical sites, and adventure tourism, and tourist destinations around the world have increasingly emphasized the emotional dimension of their products.Emotion as a vague and difficult to define experience is closely related to language and culture.Although emotions are experienced on a personal level, they have a clear collective framework, both in terms of actual experience and in the way they experience and communicate to others.Due to cultural differences, domestic and foreign tourists may have different emotional experiences when they visit the same scenic area, and the same emotional type may have different meanings.Under the guidance of theories of tourist behavior, emotional geography, social constructivism, and cross-cultural research, this research comprehensively sorts out domestic and foreign research progress.Taking the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum as a case study and domestic and foreign tourists as research objects, offline field surveys and online web crawlers obtain multi-source research data. From the perspective of on-site emotion and memory emotion, dig out the characteristics of domestic and foreign tourists' emotional experience in the scenic area and their time and space law.In order to further understand the differences between domestic and foreign tourists 'emotional experiences, this study analyzes the main factors that affect the differences between domestic and foreign tourists' emotional experiences with the help of relevant theories of social constructivism and cross-cultural research. There are the following aspects:(1)Define the concept of emotional experience.Starting from the dimensions and classification of emotions,we identify and analyze emotional vocabulary, define the concept of tourist emotional experience, and divide the tourist emotional experience into two categories according to the different stages of tourism:on-site emotional experience and memory emotional experience.(2)Analysis of the distribution of tourists' on-site emotional experience and the differences between domestic and foreign tourists. The tracked emotion wheel measurement method is used to measure the node emotion experience of domestic and foreign tourists visiting the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, and the assigned emotion wheel test card is used to calculate the tourist's specific node emotion experience value. With the help of Excel and ArcGIS software, the emotional experience of Qinling Museum at home and abroad was calculated and visualized. The study found that:?In terms of the emotional dimension, the positive and negative emotional types of the on-site emotional experience of domestic and foreign tourists show significant differences. The type of positive emotion most expressed by domestic tourists is excitement, while the type of positive emotion most expressed by foreign tourists is interest;the type of negative emotional experience of domestic tourists manifests as boredom, restlessness, and dissatisfaction, and the most type of negative emotion expressed by foreign tourists is depressed.? In the time dimension, the emotional experience of domestic and foreign tourists in the museum is expressed as a model in which positive emotions are dominant and negative emotions coexist. Before entering the scenic area, tourists will experience an emotional combination of anxiety, tension, curiosity, and excitement;in the scenic area tour, dominated by positive emotional experiences such as pleasure, enjoyment, relaxation, satisfaction, and interest. The negative emotional experiences of domestic tourists is concentrated in the pre-tourism stage, followed by the post-tourism stage;while the negative emotion expression of foreign tourists mainly appears in the mid-tourism stage.? In terms of space, both domestic and foreign tourists show that the positive emotional experience fluctuates significantly, while the negative emotional experience fluctuates less. The average value of the positive emotional experience of domestic and foreign tourists in the core tourist area is the highest.(3)Analysis of the distribution of tourists' memory emotional experience and the differences between domestic and foreign tourists. The sentiment calculation, text analysis, and visual processing methods are used to process the review data of domestic and foreign tourists to obtain the memory emotional experience of domestic and foreign tourists at the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum. The study found that:?In terms of overall affective tendencies, both domestic and foreign tourists ' review data showed that positive affective tendencies accounted for the largest proportion, while negative affective tendencies and neutral affective tendencies accounted for less,of which the intensity of positive affective tendencies concentrated on low and moderate intensity. The proportion of neutral sentiment of domestic tourists is higher than that of foreign tourists.?In terms of spatial nodes, the emotional experience of domestic tourists fluctuates significantly, while the emotional experience of foreign tourists'memories fluctuates smoothly.?In the time dimension, the negative emotional experience of domestic tourists and foreign tourists shows an opposite trend.?In terms of emotion types, domestic and foreign tourists have different types of memories for expressing emotions, foreign tourists have more abundant expression vocabulary of emotional experience, and more frequent expression of negative emotions. The domestic and foreign tourists have different emphases of expressing emotions in recalling emotions. The impact factors of domestic tourists 'emotions of recalling emotions on negative emotional experiences are more described, mainly focusing on four aspects of improper management, market order, crowded environment and weather conditions, while foreign tourists mainly express their feelings.(4)Through reading related theories and research progress, this study try to understand the differences in the emotional experience of domestic and foreign tourists at the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum from the perspective of social constructive subjects and cross-cultural analysis. The physical context and the social context together constitute the specific context for the construction of tourists' emotional experience.Cultural differences and physical distances can provide explanations for the differences in emotional experiences of domestic and foreign tourists. There are three innovations in this research:(1)Combining tourists'on-site emotions and memory emotions to explore the differences in tourists' emotional experience under different cultural backgrounds. This study uses multiple data sources to combine the tourist's emotional profile with individual space and time activities to more fully understand the individual's travel experience.(2)In-depth research on the types and distribution of tourists' emotional experience.Emotions are often simply conceptualized as positive or negative effects, and studies have pointed out that specific types of emotions can lead to different results. Therefore, this study pay more attention to specific emotion types than general dimensions of emotions in tourism emotion research.(3)From the perspective of context construction, explore the mechanism of cross-cultural differences in tourists' emotional experience.Emotional experience actually has the characteristics of social construction.Certain places and attractions have actually preset a type of emotion. However, the individual experience is a complex interactive process, and the exploration of the emotional experience mechanism is of great significance for understanding the cross-cultural differences.
