The arrival of the globalization era has posed new challenges to the talents cultivation in various countries around the world.Every country is actively exploring the cultivation of modern talents with an international vision.International Primary Curriculum(IPC),as an excellent international primary school curriculum,has been recognized and applied in many countries in the early 21st century.IPC has formed a unique curriculum model through continuous exploration and improvement since its inception.This paper aims to explore the evolution of IPC model,the curriculum objectives,curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation of IPC by using the research methods of literature research as well as case analysis,and then sum up its curriculum experience to put forward the enlightenment of the curriculum development in our country.There are five parts in this paper.The introduction part mainly explains the reason and significance of taking IPC model as the research object.On the basis of combing and summarizing relevant research results,it defines and differentiates the core concepts,and expounds the research methods and research ideas of this paper.The first chapter discusses the evolution of IPC.Driven by the integration and opening of curriculum content,the development of student,and the international-trend of curriculum development,it has gone through four stages.They are,respectively,the forming stages,the start-up stage,the improved stage,and the vigorous development stage.And it shows the characteristics of times,universality and openness in the process of evolution.The second chapter analyzes the basic framework of IPC model.It will have a though analysis from four parts.They are curriculum objectives,curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation of IPC.In terms of curriculum objectives,IPC model is committed to exploring the three-level objectives to help students develop in an all-round way,focusing on hierarchy and periodicity;In terms of curriculum contents,multidisciplinary contents are connected in series in the form of"theme learning unit",which presents the curriculum content spirally and emphasizes comprehensiveness.In the implementation of the curriculum,a variety of teaching methods are comprehensively applied,clear learning steps are made,and students'active participation is emphasized,thus forming a quite distinctive learning process.In curriculum evaluation,it highlights the importance of skill evaluation,meanwhile,has established teacher evaluation scale and student evaluation scale for student's learning.The third chapter explores the specific practice of Nexus International School through analyzing the specific learning units in the process of IPC implementation in three different stages.Taking the different themes units of the second,fourth and sixth grade for instance,then analyzing from three dimensions of the background elements,theme design,and learning evaluation.In order to highlight the characteristics of IPC in different stages.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the reflection about IPC.In process of developing,it presents the value orientation of integration,practice and innovation and insists the core with student-oriented,the guarantee of teachers' professional development,and the perfection of self-system.Finally,it puts forward corresponding suggestions based on China's national conditions Guaranteeing teachers' professional development and enhance teachers' curriculum decision-making;Optimizing the course structure to improve integrated design of course;Integrating international understanding education to develop students' pluralistic thinking;Encouraging diversified ways of learning to cultivate lifelong learners.As international exchanges and cooperation becomes increasingly close,the research of international understanding education has gradually into the view of elemental education.Meanwhile,many country has explored the connection of the international curriculum and national curriculum.Therefore,a thorough study of the IPC model,an analysis of its internal components and their interrelations,and a summary and induction of the characteristics of the IPC model are aimed at providing reference experience for the reform and development of primary education curriculum in China,so as to promote the vigorous development of primary education in China.
