The new era of globalization has set new demands and challenges for the education reform and personnel training in every country.It's impossible for both the nation and individuals to be self-depended in the modern world.And yet the Education for International Understanding which aims at cultivating global perspectives and global thinking skills took on the heavy responsibility of training globalized professionals.The Education for International Understanding has also gradually become an important part of national education in most countries.Australia's Education for International Understanding started earlier and then developed more rapidly under the policy of multiculturalism.Therefore,the implementation of it in primary and secondary schools in Australia is relatively complete and mature,and a distinctive curriculum system for Education for International Understanding has been formed.Through sorting out and analyzing the theories and practices of the curriculum of Education for International Understanding in primary and secondary schools in Australia,which will bring significant enlightenment and inspiration for us to explore its successful experiences and the curriculum construction of Education for International Understanding in primary and secondary schools in China.In this paper,the main methods of literature research,case studies and comparative studies are applicated to analyze the development,curriculum policy,implementation and curriculum evaluation of Education for International Understanding in primary and secondary schools in Australia,summarize their experiences and problems as well as combining the status quo of our country and trying to put forward suggestions on the curriculum construction of that in China.The article is divided into six parts.The introduction part mainly explains the reasons and significance of studying the curriculum of Education for International Understanding in primary and secondary schools in Australia,and defines and distinguishes the concepts based on the review of relevant research results and present conditions.The main research methods and ideas are also introduced.The first chapter discusses the background and development process of Australian Education for International Understanding.The second chapter analyzes the relevant policies and focuses on the interpretation and analysis of curriculum policies.Chapter Three explores the core content and framework of the implementation of the curriculum.On the basis of this,I introduced and analyzed the implementation methods of the curriculum.Case studies are also conducted to explore its concrete practice.Chapter Four discusses the evaluation methods of the curriculum of Education for International Understanding in primary and secondary schools in Australia.The fifth chapter summarizes and evaluates the characteristics and problems of the curriculum of Education for International Understanding in Australia.Basing on teasing the current situation of that in primary and secondary schools in China and rationally using the experience of Australia's,I'll try to come up with some suggestions and inspiration for the curriculum development of Education for International Understanding in primary and secondary schools in China.
