Scientific reasoning is an advanced form of scientific thinking,which plays an important role in the process of individuals acquiring new knowledge and understanding the world.Electromagnetic knowledge in the annual college entrance examination in the proportion of more than one third,the proportion is relatively high.The concept of electromagnetism is the basis of studying electromagnetism.So what is the scientific reasoning ability of students in Ningxia?What about the concept of electromagnetism?What is the correlation between the learning of electromagnetic concepts and the ability of scientific reasoning?This is what we should think about.In this paper,literature research,investigation and quantitative analysis are used to investigate and analyze the students'scientific reasoning ability and grasp of electromagnetics concept in Ningxia.The thesis is divided into the following parts:Chapter one and two understand the research status of scientific reasoning ability and electromagnetics concept by reading relevant books and literature.Based on Piaget's cognitive development theory and constructivism theory,I further study scientific reasoning ability and electromagnetic concepts.In the third chapter,I selected high school students from Ningxia University Affiliated Middle School,Hongsibao No.1 Middle School and Zhongwei No.1 Middle School to test.Finally,the test results and the relevant information of students are counted.The fourth chapter analyzes and calculates the quality characteristics of the scientific reasoning ability scale and the electromagnetics concept measurement scale,including four aspects of the content validity of the scale,the reliability of the test,the difficulty of the test questions and the differentiation.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the survey results.In terms of scientific reasoning ability,the characteristic value of scientific reasoning ability score is analyzed at first.Secondly analyze the scores and causes of each dimension of the scientific reasoning ability.Finally,the correlation between the scores of scientific reasoning ability test and gender,the scores of scientific reasoning ability test and the total scores of mid-term examination and the scores of each subject is analyzed.In terms of electromagnetic concepts,the eigenvalues of the test scores of electromagnetics concepts are analyzed at first.Then there is an analysis of the scores and causes of electromagnetism concepts in each dimension.Thirdly,the correlation between the test scores of electromagnetism concept and gender,the test scores of electromagnetism concept and the total scores of mid-term examination and the comprehensive results are analyzed.Finally,the correlation between the students' learning of electromagnetics and their scientific reasoning ability is analyzed.The last chapter is the conclusion of investigation and analysis,based on which four teaching suggestions are put forward.
