The connection problem of history teaching in junior and senior high schools has raised the broad concern of the first-line teachers. With the development of the new curriculum reform to history teaching, the status of junior and senior high school history subjects has further advanced. However, every reform will take time and it will not be easy.Since 2017,the model of “different versions of the same outline” and “Ten Modules”in junior and senior high school history textbooks respectively has been gradually abolished.Instead, the textbook The Outline of Chinese and Western History has been applied throughout the country, which not only stimulates the development of history teaching, but also changes the connection issues and brings new opportunities and challenges to teachers. Therefore,in view of the new changes in the history connection problems, the author tries to explore the connection problem in junior and senior high school and put forward some corresponding connection strategies through a systematic comparative analysis of the history curriculum andlearning method. In addition to the introduction, there are five parts in this thesis. The first part discusses the necessity of connection of history teaching from three perspectives of students' psychological development, teachers' professional development and history curriculum development. The second part mainly explores the connection related issues by investigating the history learning situation of junior and senior high school students, which paves the way for the discussion of the learning method connection in fourth chapter.Taking "the Revolution of 1911" as an example, the third part starts with the history curriculum standards and textbooks of junior and senior high school, and then analyzes the differences of curriculum and provides the corresponding connection strategies. The fourth part analyzes the differences of students' history learning status from their psychological characteristics, learning interest, attitude, learning pressure and learning methods, and then offers the corresponding connection strategies. The last part is the conclusion, which summarizes the content of the thesis and provides some teaching implications for the first-line teachers in junior and senior high schools.
