The purpose of this study is to explore the influencing factors of volunteers 'continuous participation in volunteer services, construct the theory of influencing factors, and provide work ideas for social workers to improve the sustainability of volunteers' participation in volunteer services in practice.Adopting the grounded theory in qualitative research, the research mainly uses literature review and interviews to collect data,in-depth interviews with 11 volunteers to obtain first-hand research data, explores the factors that affect volunteers' s continued participation in voluntary services from the perspective of volunteers themselves, summarizes and proposes a practical path for continuous participation in voluntary services. The author encodes the research materials, sorts out and summarizes them, and extracts the factors that affect volunteers 'continuous participation in volunteer services, including three categories:“ superego ”driving force, internal driving force, external driving force, and finally constructs a theory of factors that influence the continuous participation in voluntary service to explain the organic connection between these three driving concepts, and to provide social workers with reference suggestions for the practice path of continuous participation of volunteers in volunteer service. The research results help to respond to the development problems of volunteer turnover and interruption of volunteer service projects.Based on the newly constructed theory, the author provides practical direction for the practice of social work from four aspects of volunteer recruitment, volunteer training, volunteer management, and the internalization of professional values of helping others.
