Imagery is one of the important categories of ancient Chinese poetics,is an important carrier for the author to express his emotional will.Geographical imagery is an important part of the ancient poetry imagery system,and it appears frequently in ancient poetry in middle school Chinese textbooks.Geographical imagery contains rich cultural connotations.By studying the relevant knowledge of geographical imagery,students have a greater positive role in understanding the geographical elements in ancient poetry,grasping the author ’s subjective feelings,and understanding and inheriting the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.However,in the actual middle school Chinese teaching,there is a problem of simplification of ancient poetry teaching methods.The geographical image has not attracted enough attention from teachers,and the cultural charm of geographical image has not been fully perceived by students.This article discusses and explores the geographical imagery and related teaching problems that appear in ancient poetry in middle schools.It is mainly composed of four parts.The first part mainly clarifies the research reasons of the thesis,literature review related to the thesis,research purpose and significance,research methods and definition of core concepts.The second part analyzes the current situation of geographical image teaching in ancient poetry teaching in middle schools by collecting and sorting out questionnaires,and points out the main teaching problems and reasons.The third part takes the geographical imagery that appears in ancient poetry in middle school Chinese textbooks as the research object,and divides it into four types according to the classification of physical geographical imagery in literary geography—regional imagery,geographical name imagery,and landscape imagery,Animal and plant images,and selected two typical geographical images from each type for connotation analysis.The fourth part expounds the teaching angle that can be referenced according to the connotation characteristics of the geographical imagery of ancient poetry: geographical characteristics,historical origins and aesthetic image,and puts forward teaching principlesand teaching strategy according to the current teaching situation,aiming at teaching ancient poetry geographic imagery Provide some reference and inspiration in practice.
