Study On The Adaptation And Integration Of The Migrant Elderly And Their Solutions To The Difficulties

Affected by economic development,accelerated urbanization,and other factors,China is in a period of rapid population migration and a large number of migrants in various regions.Among the floating population,the elderly who migrate with their children or families has attracted more attention in recent years.The migrant elderly generally move with their children or families as a whole,and their migration motivations are generally related to families,such as caring for children,grandchildren or reuniting with children.After experiencing changes in the living environment,the elderly need to adapt to and integrate into the life in the place where they moved in,and many factors will affect the adaptability and integration of the elders with whom they live.The adaptation and integration of the new environment has a greater impact on the quality of life of the elderly,and ignoring the problems existing in the life of the relocated elderly in the relocation and integration is not good for the physical and mental health of the relocated elderly.Therefore,care and help trailing old man adapt from the familiar to the unfamiliar environment to improve their quality of life,to explore the influencing factors of trailing the old man to adapt to life and into the ingoing ground and find the path to solve the problem,these aspects in the government actively deal with aging,advocating family or community endowment under the time background of has important practical significance.Based on the living conditions of the migrant elderly,this paper summarizes the existing problems and conducts research by understanding the adaptation and integration of various aspects of the migrant elderly in real life through semi-structured interviews.Taking B community in Baoji City as the main research site,interviews were conducted with regard to living adaptation,social interaction,and other aspects of the migrant elderly.Based on the theory of the ecosystem,the current situation of the migrant elderly was summarized from the perspective of the elderly,their family environment,and community environment Existing integration issues and needs.On this basis,with the help of group work in social work,the elders who have volunteered to participate in the group will form a support group.Through six group activities,the elders will be able to expand their friends,develop interests,and builda peer group support network.Comparing the content of the interviews with the elders before and after the group activity and observing their changes,we can see that the participation in the activity has strengthened the relationship between the elderly to a certain extent,expanded the circle of friends,and met the peer groups that can be integrated into it.Summarize the experience of group activities,find the feasibility and necessity of group work in helping the migrant elderly to adapt to the community life,and propose a way to help the migrant elderly to adapt and integrate into the life in the place where they moved.At the same time,give full play to the professional value of social workers,and from the perspective of enablers and policy advisers,put forward relevant suggestions to the migrant elderly families,their communities and relevant government departments to help the migrant elderly to adapt to the environment,so as to jointly promote the migrant elderly to have a happy new life in the place where they moved.
