With the advent of the digital information age,modern information technology is changing people's production and life style,but also the human way of thinking and the way of learning has important influence,therefore also unceasingly promotes the adjustment and reform of education,under this background,the realization of education from text to images,from the 3 d technology to the virtual reality is the only way to change.Elementary school science course is an important course in compulsory education.Its purpose is to cultivate students' scientific quality,which plays an important role in cultivating students' practical ability,scientific accomplishment and innovative spirit.However,there are still some problems in the current primary school science education,such as single teaching form,lack of practical inquiry,low quality of teaching resources,few teachers,and science subject being occupied by "main course",which cause the current low level of primary school science education in China,thus hindering the development of science education in China.In order to solve this problem,the emerging technology is gradually used to assist the development of the learning activities,the virtual reality technology arises at the historic moment,continuous development,the virtual reality technology is applied to the primary school science curriculum,can create a variety of teaching situation,for learners in elementary school,can easily arouse their learning interest and enthusiasm,but also to cultivate the students' information literacy and the ability of scientific inquiry,which is helpful to improve the teaching quality.This study focuses on three aspects of the application of immersive virtual reality in primary school science curriculum.Firstly,it analyzes and sorts out the research status of virtual reality at home and abroad and its application in various fields,especially in education.Secondly,the characteristics,classification and application of virtual reality and so on has made the analysis and definition,and the discipline characteristic of primary school science curriculum,learners and teaching are analyzed and summarized,immersive virtual reality application research and analyze the advantage of the elementary school science curriculum,refining the immersive virtual reality based the theoretical foundation of the application research of primary science.Finally,using the HTC Vive Focus equipment,constructing the virtual teaching environment,and the affiliated primary school grade four students in Gannan normal university based on the science of immersive virtual reality teaching practice,designed the evaluation index system of students self assessment and the science of immersive virtual reality classroom behavior are analyzed.The results show that virtual reality technology can improve the interest and attitude of scientific learning in primary school students.Through the analysis of the classroom behavior of science class based on immersive virtual reality and students' self-evaluation,it is found that the application of immersive virtual reality in primary school science curriculum can effectively improve the classroom teaching effect of primary school.
